Updates

Zambia update:

What a joy to give this GOOD REPORT!! 2008 started off with a bang and just keeps getting better.

  1. Our farm in Monze ( 100 acres) of the staple crops that feed our children withstood the floods that devastated Zambia in Jan/Feb.
  2. A container arrived from the US with a tractor, medical supplies, bibles, clothes/shoes, tools.
  3. Hundreds came to Christ in Southern province of Gwembe Valley( borders Zimbabwe).
  4. We finished building our MISSIONS OF HOPE and dedicated the church, school for 160 orphans/vulnerables to Christ on May 8th.
  5. We were invited to a meeting of 265 Headsmen and their chief -they will be part of our annual Crown Ministry International/Mustard Treeministry (MTMI) conference held in Monze.THIS is a first time to meet these headsmen and will be their first contact w/western culture.
  6. We have pulled together an incredible team from 3 different churches ( Redding, California area) that are headed for Zambia on August 20th. They will be ministering right along with us in Lusaka, Monze, Manungu, Sinazongwe (Zimbabwe border) as well as partaking and minister-ing in the annual Monze conference.

As we grow and God continues to open many new doors, our needs grow proportionately! MTMI can only go as far as our faithful prayer warriors and supporters respond to these needs. We're so greatful for your trust and compassion, that even if YOU cant go, you send us.This isnt an African OR American business. This is simply being about the Fathers' business- where HIS love clears a path, we follow close behind sharing HIS love, the good news, hope and incouragement. Your prayers open doors and keeps us always safe in a land that is so contridictory to anything we here in America have ever known.Know this: your sacrifices are received with such joy in Africa, among your brothers and sisters in Christ, they so appreciate all you have given and shared!

Projects in need of support:

  1. A motor bike for our faithful (proven time & time again) pastor Goshen Matonga of Sinazongwe, who walks miles a day, planting churches, praying for the sick, so electricity, no cell phone coverage and NO complaints!
  2. We have the plot to build 3 more classes at MISSIONS OF HOPE and room for another 150 children. Funds are much needed.
  3. A small grain mill (apx. $4,000) for our farm.
  4. God says, "How can they call on whom they've not known unless someone tell them?" We're willing to go and tell and are praying for partners to go right along side of us both in the flesh AND in the spirit by prayer. It is the love of God that brings change and hope, whether here OR Africa, that is the message we want to present to a world in turmoil, stress, and hopelessness.
