MTMI ministry update for 2007

What an exciting and productive year. We are so greatful to all of those supporting the work in Zambia, enabling the following projects to go from a dream to precious REALITY!!!!! Following, we have listed a few of these dreams-come-true:

  1. New school for our orphans of Menungu. (Southern province)
  2. An 80 acre farm, (plowed by cow) enabling us to feed hundreds of children.
  3. A farm truck and a sound system which we put on the truck for crusades. Music is an incredible draw.
  4. Two new churches have been planted as a result of that sound system.
  5. We purchased two block-making machines from the University of Zambia and have built 4 new classrooms in Monze and a chemistry lab for our students. As a result of the donated computers that arrived in July (by ship container) we have computer instruction in our schools.
  6. In Lusaka, we have supported native Pastor Mulenga to do evangelism in Mufulira, (the copperbelt, on Congo line) resulting in 300 plus new Christians and new church planed.
  7. In Sinazongwe we are supporting a faithful pastor, Pastor Goshen and his church is growing wonderfully.
  8. Up north, in Ndola we have broken ground for our deaf childrens facility, registered our plot - THE NDOLA CENTRE OF HOPE and the blocks are being made daily for building.

The month of August was spent teaching our deaf children art skills. Two classes per day for one month and it was so much fun for them. They took it VERY seriously. In August, Monze ran out of water. Our school was desperate, but wouldn't you just know it.......God was so faithful to enable us to drill a well!!!! No, we don't sell the water - its freely shared with the community. Crops are going into the ground at this time and the rains are just in time.

MTMI is so grateful to all of you that have honored God's word, FREELY YOU RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE. Your prayers have caused doors to open and also kept us safe. You weren't able to go, but you enabled us to go. I will never forget the man in the southern province bush that told me,""because you are here, now I know God hasn't forgotten me. He knows I'm here." Jesus said, "I come to preach the gospel to the poor" and HE surely is, through you and me.
